Spotted: An improvised way to reserve parking space for inhabitants: Tie a pilon with a rope to a lamppost, stretch the rope over a parking place to signify that you have reserved it.
This method was devised by the person owning a garage next to café Duc du Brabant, and is now gaining popularity in the neighbourhood. See the original Anti-parking pilon in the foreground with its more modest new neighbour in the back:
