Beaux tape

Central staircase, Musée des beaux-arts, Bruxsels

The staircase that leads to the upper galeries of the Musée des beaux arts in Brussels. The original copper fittings with which the rail is attached to the wall, are decorated with a pattern that represent woven bamboo / leafs.

Over the years, gaps have appeared beteen the separate rails. In keeping with this original decor, the gaps between the rails are bound together with black duct-tape.
